Startup Luckey Inc. launched on Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the release of the device Nums, which can breathe new life into the trackpad of the laptop. Nums is an ultra-thin glass film that turns a trackpad into a numeric keypad and allows you to run applications and sites with simple svaypom.
To use Nums, it’s enough to clear the trackpad, stick a film on it and download the driver from the company’s website. After this, the overlay can be switched between the numeric keypad and ordinary mouse modes with one finger movement. Also with the help of the driver it can be programmed to launch selected sites and applications. In this case, Nums does not affect the usual daily work with the trackpad.
Now Nums only supports the MacBook (currently it works to ensure compatibility with Windows-based devices). For typical models of this notebook, the test results are already known: Nums accelerates the set of digits by 2.3 times and allows you to make 66% less finger movements while working with it. To date, the device has received more than 20 patents and was awarded the prestigious design award “Reddot Design – Best of the best”.
